How the technique works: 
 
To understand how Endermologie works it helps to know the different fat layers in women. The skin is made up of four distinct layers.  (1) The Epidermis - the visible outer layer. (2) The Dermis - a rich collagen under layer. (3) The Hypodermis (subcutaneous fat layer) - consist of organized chambers filled with collagen fibers and trapped fat. The Hypodermis layer is responsible for cellulite and "DOES NOT" respond to diet or exercise. (4) The Superficial Reserve Fat Layer - this layer is occupied with adipocytes not in organized defined chambers. This layer "DOES" respond to diet and exercise and is the main target layer for liposuction.  
 
The condition of our connective tissue is influence by age, diet, genetics, hormones, stress, exercise, medication and lifestyle. All this determines where and how fat is stored, fluid is retained, and the amount of collagen and elastin fiber layers in our skin. When the waste removal system starts to fail, waste products start to build and the connective tissue becomes saturated with fluid. Growing fat cells destroy the network of collagen and elastin fibers, these hardened pockets of fat become known as cellulite which do not respond well to weight loss, exercise, creams, or surgical liposuction. 
 
Endermologie reverses the damage to the dermis and hypodermis connective tissue layer.  It releases and decompresses the different vesicular, arterial, venous, and lymphatic structures which result in an influx of blood along with its nourishing elements and removal of excess fluids and unhealthy metabolites. Tissue becomes transformed and the result is a thinner dermis and hypodermis. Endermologie actively and passively stimulates muscles, renews collagen and elastin production, it boosts the body's major cleansing mechanisms, including lymphatic drainage, purging the inner environment contained within the body's smooth and supple outer shell. 
 
One of the first things you will notice is that your clothes fit looser, your legs and hips feel tighter, and you will experience an increased sense of well-being. In time you will notice a definite improvement in skin condition, especially in the dimpled cellulite areas.  This does not mean that your cellulite will be completely eradicated.  The "appearance" of cellulite is what Endermologie has has been proven to fight effectively and follow-up treatment sessions will be needed to sustain the results.
